Summer may be winding down, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up the beach babe look just yet. Make the most of these late summer days (and channel your inner Baywatch babe) with some breezy, beachy waves! We’ll show you how.
Texturizing spray or cream is your number one ingredient. This will give your hair the texture it needs to look effortlessly tousled by the sea. Here are some choices we like:

Once you have found your texturizing product of choice, it’s beach babe time! There are about one million ways to go about it, but we’re going to tell you about
Beach Wave Method #1:
For this method, you’ll need a curling iron (a 1.5 inch barrel is best), texturizing spray, and hairspray.
1. Prep your hair with the texturizing product.
2. Starting at the bottom of your head, take a section (about an inch or so wide) and twist it.
3. Wrap the twist around a curling iron (or wand), leaving the bottom inch free. Important: don’t clamp your hair in the curling iron (that will make your curls too tight) and don’t curl all the way to the bottom of the section (it’ll mess up that surfer girl vibe).
4. Alternate between wrapping the strands clockwise and counterclockwise. This way, the curls look less “done” and more like you just hopped off a surfboard.
5. When you’re done, give your hair and toss and finish it with your favorite hairspray. Beach babe, you are good to go!
Beach Wave Method #2:
If you’re a shower-at-night gal, this method will work like a charm. All you need is some sea salt spray and hairspray.
After you shower, let your hair air dry until it is damp but not soaking wet.
Spritz on the sea salt spray.
Braid your hair into one french braid and secure with an elastic.
Go to sleep.
When you wake up in the morning, take out the braid and add a few touch-up curls with a curling iron. Lock it in with some hairspray and go!
