Autumn's Romantic Grandeur
For the past couple of months, I have been scouring over all the latest fashion magazines patiently waiting for a look at the new fall trends. Of course, with a high interest in the latest hair and make-up trends. About two weeks ago, I was thrilled when my wait was finally over, the best part I could see it in person, and not rely on the pages of a magazine. Aveda's Autumn/ Winter 2014 Make-up Collection arrived! We love it!
The collection is called Romantic Grandeur. Aveda description is "dream like colors recast the splendor of eras past and reveal a romantic vintage qualities". Our definition, soft, beautiful, bold and rich shades. It's the perfect pallet for autumn.
There are a few standout features, that for us make this one of the best collections in years.
Eye colors- the eye colors can all be stand-out shades on their own but, they are also extremely complementary of each other. The Ivory Lotus along with the Winter Lilac are staples for highlighting the whole eye or simply on the brow bone. Aubergine is great for a darker contouring shade, following up with any of the other shades as an accent shade.
Lip color- Red lip colors are stunning but, a little hard to find the right shade. This collection's red is just right. Goji Berry! Not too blue and not too orange.
Lip Glaze- Aveda has given us 2 new lip glazes. Rose Blush and Mango-steen. Both can stand on their own as a quick color to your lips or to tip off your favorite lip color.
